Easter in Colorado!

Take advantage of your holiday time off by booking a long weekend trip to one of my favorite places, Colorado! The entire cost assuming two people and following the ideas below would be $1600 for flights, lodging and car rental! I would recommend a car especially if you want to explore a little and do some hiking. Or just take an uber to a different Airbnb or hotel in downtown Denver and skip the car rental.

Flight $384

DTW –> DEN roundtrip

Delta Airlines; April 5th-10th

  • Option 1:

Check out this Airbnb, located in Arvada. 15 minute drive from downtown Denver, close to shopping, trails, and great food!

  • Option 2:

A little more money but this Airbnb also looks like a great option! Very close to bars, restaurants, parks and downtown, yet still in a quiet neighborhood.

Hiking trails nearby (use alltrails app)

  • Saint Mary’s Glacier: rated moderate, 2.4 miles near Idaho Springs
  • Sky Pond via Glacier Gorge Trail: rated hard, 9.4 miles near Estes Park

Try this car rental through Turo! I personally love and use Turo and think it’s a better deal and more convenient than standard car rental companies. 1500 miles included with the rental. 11, 5-star reviews.

What to pack

I have these hiking shoes and you can get them on Amazon with this link! They are waterproof and required no break in period for me. They are extrememly comfortable, I even wear them on the plane when I’m limited for packing space.

I love hiking in these! They are very comfortable/high rise, thin enough for if it gets hot but also waterproof and warm if you need it for the higher elevation. Can also get these on Amazon with this link

Always always always pack these!! Hiking trips or not. These are the perfect snack or quick breakfast and packed with protein 🙂 Use this referral link and use code: Alysa for 15% off!

Easily fit this jacket into your suitcase and bring just in case! This is my favorite lightweight jacket and perfectly comfortable for hiking! Get it on amazon with this link
